Info

Freddie White stands tall in the hall of fame of live Irish music since the 1970’s, when he released his first album Live On Tour, recorded while touring with Clannad. His eclectic repertoire of music, which spans genres and eras, combined with his unique voice and guitar style, have made him a firm favorite with audiences both at home and abroad. He was a founding member of Scullion and later The Fake and then came the Freddie White Band which toured with Eric Clapton in 1978. Down the years he has collaborated with Sonny Connell, Johnny Duhan, Ann O’Sullivan, Declan Sinnott, Frances and Mary Black, Jimmy MacCarthy and Trish Hickey. After living abroad for many years, both in the USA and Australia, Freddie has returned home. His latest album PRODIGAL SONGS celebrates the power of love and music and is a thoughtful observation of the course of Irish history over the last 100 years. Another new album ONE HEART BEATING is due for release in the Spring. His current tour heralds his return to the Irish scene and will feature songs both old and new from his 40 year career.
