A tale performed in the local pub. A blizzard has hit the village and the hooley that has been planned doesn’t seem to promise much for the evening until an unexpected guest shows up.
Haulbowline Theatre Group, currently homeless, have been performing recently in anywhere they can find an audience and well, where better than in the local pub. The group present a bizarre picture of life in a rural community. A story set in an Ireland of many years ago. The village pub is getting itself ready for an evening of merrymaking, but recent bad weather hasn’t been favourable for such a night. Will anybody at all show up? Paidín does however, and a sequence of events unfolds to make it an unforgettable night for him and the other locals who have braved the blizzard to attend the proceedings.
