6.15pm at Bandon Further Education & Training Centre (Weir Street) 

The Launch of Bandon Culture Night 2019 by local author Alice Taylor who will read from her book The Journey. Alice will also comment on the background to the excerpts she reads, giving an insight into the writing process. 


7pm at Bandon Library 

The launch of the graphic novel Cerberus’ New Trick, the follow-up to the award-winning Death’s New Lease on Life. Writer Brendan O’ Connell and Kinsale based illustrator Fiona Boniwell, will present their latest collaborative work and give a brief talk about their creative process. As well as the graphic novel itself, the creators invite you to see behind the scenes.  Brendan will talk about how he arrives at his ideas and develops them for a graphic novel script. Fiona will show you the illustration journey from rough sketches to the finished piece. Both creators will be available for an informal chat, book signing and sketch session. 


7.30pm at The Munster Arms Hotel 

Bandon goes to the Movies.  Enjoy light refreshments and a walk down memory lane with a wonderful film made at Bandon Day Care Centre in which local people who attend the centre reminisce about major life events.



8.15pm at The Town Hall 

A night of music and song. The Glaslinn Choir will entertain you with their wonderful choral singing. This will be followed by music from The Bandon Concert Band, with a range of pieces that provides something for all musical tastes. As in previous years, those who attend can enjoy some wonderful complimentary food in the room just off the main hall.
