This is a night of traditional music, singing, dancing and storytelling with a strong emphasis on audience participation. Light refreshments will be served while you sample the atmosphere of an old stone house with a stove in the corner.

Oiche Cheoil Tradisúnta will take place in the restored homestead of our own famous Sam Maguire. The residence is situated in the townland of Mallabracka which is approximately 3 miles to the north of Dunmanway town. It’s signposted off the Macroom and Kealkil roads. This will be a night of traditional music, singing, dancing and storytelling with a strong emphasis on audience participation. Light refreshments will be served while you sample the atmosphere of an old stone house with a stove in the corner. A dance floor is provided. There is ample parking at the house and toilet facilities are also available. This event is being organised by Comhaltas, Craobh Dúnmaonmhuí who recently hosted Fleadh Cheoil Chorcaí here in Dunmanway.

Comhaltas, Craobh Dúnmaonmhuí regularly organize dance, music and singing classes. Junior Set and Ceilí dancing classes take place in St. Patrick’s Hall from September to Easter on Monday nights. Also, Set Dancing classes for adults take place at the Parkway Hotel on Monday. Traditional singing classes take place on Wednesday nights. Traditional music sessions for juniors take place on the last Wednesday of each month from September to April in St. Patrick’s Hall. Traditional singing nights take place on the last Friday of each month at the Grey Hound Bar, Dunmanway. Regular Ceilí’s also take place.
