This Cultural event will give the people of Dunmanway a new cultural experience. Come and join in the community organised night. Come and try out butter making, basket making, traditional wood skills, photography, and ringing the bells. Dunmanway Community Garden will be hosting a range of exhibitions of traditional crafts. From butter making to basket weaving, traditional wood-work/green wood skills to home crafts. Come – see and try for yourself.

Dunmanway Adult Education Centre will have an art and craft display as well as a workshop on digital photography on how to capture and download and print your photos.

Dunmanway Community Choir will perform songs from all over the world with a cultural theme. Their performances as a group are powerful and fun.

In St Mary’s Church the newly installed Sam Maguire Community Bells will be rung. Listen to the story of how each bell has been given a theme depicting the story of Sam Maguire and the history of the town of Dunmanway. There are 8 bells and their themes are Sport, Wars and Revolution, Agriculture, People of Dunmanway, Migration, Religious Traditions, Educations and Arts and Industry and Commerce.

An evening of trad music, song, dance and storytelling will take place in the old farmhouse setting of Sam Maguire Homestead. Limited set dancing will take place if space allows. Refreshments and cupán tae will be served.

Comhaltas activities in Dunmanway
Dunmanway Comhaltas provide Ceili & Set dancing classes for adults and children from September to April and traditional music classes on all instruments as well as traditional singing classes.
