Historian Gerard Shannon will read from his book ‘Liam Lynch: To Declare a Republic’, his biography of IRA Chief-of-Staff, General Liam Lynch, an important revolutionary in Irish history with connections to Fermoy. Historian Neil Donovan will also showcase historical objects associated with the IRA’s Cork No.2 Brigade and the fight for Irish freedom in north Cork.
