Áine O’ Gorman is a songwriter based in Ballinadee, Co. Cork. She has released four singles, her latest ‘The Poor Ground’ making it onto the RTE Radio One Recommends list and receiving a huge response both on social media and radio. A multi-instrumentalist, Aine enjoys teaching both adults and children and has worked as a choral instructor in schools for many years. Áine believes that music should be accessible to everyone, regardless of means or ability. She has facilitated the creation of many songs in her kids’ workshops in a fun way.
A note from Áine…”I will facilitate a songwriting workshop for teenagers. There is no music experience necessary however, those who play portable instruments can bring them along. I will use my keyboard and a whiteboard to brainstorm lyrical ideas. We will explore songwriting techniques in the first half of the workshop and then break into small groups to write our own songs.”
