Briery Gap Tour + Film Screenings with First Cut! Youth Film Festival
Venue: Briery Gap
Address: Main Street, Macroom, Cork
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Info
Briery Gap and First Cut! Youth Film Festival have teamed up to screen a selection of short films with a Macroom connection made by young people over the past decade.
Several of these were made through the Cork Young Filmmakers workshop programme: Theatre! was filmed in the old Briery Gap and gives a flavour of the space as it was; Sullane Stories is a documentary on the history of Macroom made during a CYF summer workshop, as was the spine tingling ghost story Tales of the Woods. Munchy Business is a surreal and hilarious offering from Macroom’s De La Salle College. The programme is rounded off by two independently made comedies by young filmmakers: Dylan Sheehan’s The Documentary and Arran Tenzin Bradstock’s The Deal.
Between 6pm-7pm, there will be tours of the building which will include watching one short film. Visitors will be able to book in for the tours over the next day or so. Then at 7.30 Briery Gap will host a special free screening of all the short films on the programme, with a total run time of approximately 30 minutes.
